It's been a while since I've posted quilts so I have a bunch to share. I thought small quick posts would be better than a long, photo heavy one to catch up with what's been happening in my sewing room.
Way back in October when my guild went to visit Hawthorne Threads we saw a bundle of their solids, Hawthorne Hues. I ended up ordering a bundle to make something to remember our visit there. When I saw Denyse Schmidt's "Big Charming" pattern I knew I had a match. This quilt is what resulted. It was definately different for me to use all solids. The back ground is Essex linen which was also new to me. The lighting in these pictures is not the best as it is super bright outside today.
Here is the back, I love this loopy quilting pattern.
I posted a picture of this quilt in progress on Hawthorne Threads work in progress contest weeks ago, and they picked it as the winner! I was so tickled, I never win anything! They sent me some cute charm packs as a prize, thank you Hawthorne Threads!
Hope you all have a great day! I'm off to do some Valentine shopping. ❤️
