Just like that Halloween is over and we are headed straight for Thanksgiving. November always seems to be a month that is holding it's breath. The rush of September and the fun of October are over. December craziness is at the doorstep. November is just waiting. Waiting for the holiday season to start. Waiting for the real cold to begin. Waiting for the time to change. I always feel like I should be out Christmas shopping and getting ahead of the rush, but somehow I never manage to do it. I wait.
It's been a beautiful fall here. So much amazing scenery. Floyd and I also managed to sneak away to Cape Cod for a couple of days to pre-celebrate our 20th anniversary.
I've gotten to work on some amazing quilts this fall. The first is from Peggy. She made is out of beautiful Allison Glass fabrics.
This next quilt was made by Jody for her annual raffle. I love the paper pieced "driver".
Our guild made this quilt and it was donated to go to a child in crisis.
I was lucky enough to be treated to three quilts from Michelle this October. Each one is more amazing than the last.
I myself have been in a bit of a quilting rut these last few months. I have been knitting instead, which made this year's day at the New York State Sheep and Wool festival a little more expensive.
This is a bit of what I scored.
Our guild is going on retreat in a couple of weeks, I'm hoping that will inspire me to jump back in to sewing. I have this pile ready to be cut for a Sunday Morning quilt. Wish me luck!
What are you working on? :)
