So the last couple of weeks have been busy in a good way! I've had the pleasure of working on some really beautiful quilts. Each one has been so different. The first one belongs to Shelly. She is making this bright throw quilt to cuddle up with this fall. She chose bright red thread and interlocking squares as the pattern.
Here is her great pieced back.
Aren't these wonky blocks so cute?
The next quilt was for a friend of my Mom's named Pat. It is a big quilt destined for her bed.
I quilted it with big feathers and swirls. I love two color quilts!
I'm not a huge feather person but I really like the way these came out.
The next quilt is one I made for a baby that's coming soon. It's a pattern from Camille Roskelly's Simply Retro book. It went together really fast, and I love the bright modern colors.
I used chain maille for the quilting pattern. I've used this several times and I like it more each time.
Today I did another baby quilt with this pattern for the quilting for Jody. She chose a baby pink thread. It was made with Wee Wander fabric which I adore!
The weather is supposed to be hot and sunny this week so I'm going to try to eek out a last blast of summer before we are back to reality. What's everyone's plans for this holiday weekend?
