May and June always seem to be busy months in this house. Lots of birthdays, Mother's Day, Father's Day, end of school, blah blah blah. We had oldest turn 16 last week. She is now driving (with her learner's permit) and thus we have entered a whole new realm of parenting.
I've had a few customer quilts that have all been so different, I'm really enjoying getting to play with all these amazing quilts! First was a little quilt for Susy. I didn't get a good picture of the whole thing, but here you can see the quilting pattern called calm waters.
Next up was a purple quilt for Michelle. She chose interlocking squares with cotton batting. It came out really soft and beautiful.
Next was a baby quilt for Erin. She asked for straight horizontal lines, randomly spaced. I had fun quilting it and really love the way it turned out. The colors are amazing!
Here's the back...
Remember my layer cake quilt? It's all finished and bound. I was skeptical of this pattern but I really love the finished product and will definitely use it again. It's not like I don't have any other layer cakes to use. (Can you send me the number of a pre-cut addiction specialist?)
This next picture is just because I love peonies.
I have really been 'under the rainbow' this week!
My name is Kristin McLoughlin. I love to quilt for my family and friends. I am a blanket addict. Please feel free to contact me. Thanks for stopping by!
